چکیده
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of a new pepsin enzyme-based gel compared with Carisolv as CMCRagent. Clinical and radiographical evaluations recurrent caries were made 3 6 months after treatment.Material Methods: A split-mouth designed randomized controlled clinical study was carried out on 40 primaryanterior teeth children aged between 4-7 years. Pepsin solution appliedto carious lesions until complete removal caries. The both agents evaluated by number ofapplication times to remove all Recurrent clinically radiographically 6months treatment. Results: Results showed no statistically significant differences in removalby application (P = 0.919). Concerning caries, evaluationafter three six two groups 0.574, P =0.547, respectively). Conclusion: can be considered similar regarding itsefficacy CMCR agent for small primary anterior years old. KEYWORDSCarisolv; Chemo-mechanical removal; enzyme; Caries; Minimally invasive dentistry.

متن کاملClinical Evaluation of a Papain-Based Gel for the Chemo-Mechanical Removal of Caries in Children
Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on 30 children in the age group of 8-15yrs, each having at least three permanent molar teeth with non-pulpally involved carious lesions. Each of the three teeth was randomly assigned to be treated with either Carie-care, Carisolv or high-speed cavity excavation with air-rotor. The following assessments were made for each tooth: efficacy of caries r...
متن کاملMALAYSIAN DENTAL JOURNAL Evaluation of Clinical Efficacy of Two Chemo-Mechanical Caries Removal Agents in Primary Molars – A Comparative Study
Background: In children, caries removal by means of conventional rotary instruments is often associated with pain and discomfort. An alternative method to conventional caries removal by means of rotary instruments is the use of chemo-mechanical caries removal agents. Aim: To evaluate and compare the efficacy of two chemomechanical caries removal agents Carisolv and Papacarie in reducing carioge...
متن کاملChemo Mechanical Caries Removal - A New Horizon
In this era of minimal intervention dentistry, the changing concept of cavity preparation and the introduction of reliable adhesive materials have lead to the development of alternative methods of caries removal. Chemo mechanical caries removal (CMCR) involves the chemical softening of the carious dentine, followed by its removal with gentle excavation. This process removes only the infected ti...
